For the last 2 years Jon Miller has been summarizing the 37 chapters of Taiichi Ohno's book, Workplace Management. Taiichi Ohno, is in many ways, the father of the Toyota Production System. To quote Jon, Taiichi in this book:

explain some of the ideas and tools that make up the Toyota Production System, it gives context to the development of some of these ideas, and the basic values and philosophies that underly them.

Jon's summary have been very lucid and relevant to what is going in today's world. Today, Jon announced that his company is going to publish this book in 2007. This is great news.

As much as I am looking forward to purchasing this book, I wish that Jon would also publish a monogram, at the same time, based on his summary. It would be an excellent commentary text to accompany Taiichi's book.
